As a parent, some of my favourite moments happen at bedtime — when my children ask me to read them a story, and then tell me exactly what they want it to be about. A trip to the moon. A pet who can talk. Themselves, as the hero.
I wanted to capture that magic properly — not just imagine it with them for five minutes, but actually give it to them: a real story, written just for them, with their name, their world, and the people and pets they love woven into every page. That's why I built Wispalo.
Every child is different, and every bedtime is different too — some nights they want a big adventure, other nights they're already half-asleep and just need a gentle voice to carry them the rest of the way. So Wispalo does both: a story crafted in moments from whatever's in their imagination that night, with optional narration for the nights they want to close their eyes and simply listen.
I know how precious — and how limited — bedtime can be for busy parents. Wispalo is built to make the most of it: quick enough for a tired evening, meaningful enough that your child feels like the story was made only for them. Because it was.
