Wispalo started with a simple idea: every child deserves to be the hero of their own story, not just a reader of someone else's.
We're a small, independent team building something we wanted for our own bedtimes — a story that uses your child's actual name, their age, the things they love, and turns all of it into a few gentle pages of magic, ready before the lamp gets switched off.
No two children get the same story twice. Whether it's a made-up world full of dragons and moonlight, or something closer to home — starting school, welcoming a new sibling, or being brave about the dark — every story is woven around your child specifically, then wrapped in a soft watercolour cover just for them.
We care about getting the small things right: British-English throughout, warm narration for winding down, and an ending that always leaves your little one feeling proud, safe, and ready for sleep.
